The 3 days Congo lowland gorilla trekking safari is composed of both arrivals and departures from Kigali. The 3 days Congo lowland gorilla trekking trip gives you a great opportunity to trek the Congo lowland gorillas which can be trekked at Kahuzi Bienga National Park in the southern Kivu at Bukavu region. You will also undertake a boat ride on Lake Kivu after your gorilla trekking in DR Congo, before returning to Kigali
Day 1: Transfer to Bukavu
Upon arrival at Kigali airport (must be early morning arrival) or meet up with your guide at your hotel in Kigali after your breakfast, and transfer you to Bukavu, which is roughly 6 hour’s drive away from Kigali, with an en route lunch and later proceed to Congo border, deal with immigration process and proceed with the drive to your booked hotel for dinner and overnight at Nedive Hotel. Day 2: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Kivu
After your wonderful breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your guide, who will transfer you to the park offices at Kahuzi Bienga National Park, for briefing before you drive to the gorilla trekking family you’re allocated for, for that day. Upon finding the gorillas, an hour will be allocated for you, to watch them, take photos of your kind and later drive back and cross back, have lunch and along the way to Kibuye, where you will reach your hotel and retire. Dinner and overnight stay at Moriah Hills Resort. Meal Plan: Breakfast Lunch and dinner
Day 3: Boat ride and return to Kigali.
You will enjoy a delightful breakfast before jump into your jeep, head for a boat ride on Lake Kivu, for roughly 2 hour’s, rewarding you with a great opportunity to visit numerous islands on Lake Kivu, where you will undertake a nature walk, spot numerous bird species and return before drive off to Kigali, with an en route lunch, and drop off to the airport or your booked hotel in Kigali.
