Our 4 Days Congo Double Lowland gorilla trekking safari from Rwanda, is composed with both arrivals and departure from Kigali. The trip gives you a great opportunity to trek the Congo lowland gorillas which can be trekked at Kahuzi – Bienga National Park in the southern Kivu at Bukavu region. You will have an opportunity to trek the gorilla twice.
Day 1: Transfer to Bukavu
Upon arrival at Kigali airport (must be early morning arrival) or meet up with your guide at your hotel in Kigali after your breakfast, and transfer you to Bukavu, which is roughly 6 hour’s drive away from Kigali, with an en route lunch and later proceed to Congo border, deal with immigration process and proceed with the drive to your booked hotel for dinner and overnight at Nedive Hotel. Meal Plan: Lunch and dinner
Day 2: 1st Gorilla trekking.
After your wonderful breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your guide, who will transfer you to the park offices at Kahuzi – Bienga National Park, for your first gorilla trekking briefing before you drive to the gorilla trekking family you’re allocated for, for that day. Upon finding the gorillas, an hour will be allocated for you, to watch them, take photos of your kind and later drive back to your hotel for lunch and relation at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Nedive Hotel. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and dinner.
Day 3: 2nd Gorilla trekking.
The same procedure as for the first gorilla trekking will be followed though this time, you will trek a different gorilla family during your trek. Later returned and retired at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Nedive Hotel. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and dinner.
Day 4: Return to Kigali.
You will enjoy a delightful breakfast before jumping into your jeep, drive towards Rwanda border with DR Congo, undertake immigration process before you cross over to Rwanda, drive off to Kigali, with an en route lunch, and drop off to the airport or your booked hotel in Kigali.
