The safari will give you a great chance to do a visit and do canopy walk, and chimpanzee trekking at Nyungwe National Park, as you sum up your safari with us. You will as well visit Lake Kivu and, undertake a boat ride. You will later head to Volcanoes for gorilla and golden monkey trekking

Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe

Begin your day with a warm delightful breakfast, at your hotel in Kigali and later transfer to Nyungwe, with an en route visit to King Palace museum, and Ethnographic Museum learn about history of Rwanda and proceed to Huye, where you will catch up with lunch en route. You will later proceed to your booked hotel at Nyungwe Top View Lodge. Meals: Lunch & dinner

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking & canopy walk

Today, after your early morning cap of African coffee, you will leave your hotel to experience the natural forest of Nyungwe well known for having 13 species of primates, and transferred to the park for briefing and chimpanzee trekking. You will be entitled to one hour on finding the chimpanzees. After doing the chimpanzee trek, head for lunch before heading for a canopy walk. This 70 meters suspended metallic bridge will give you a great overview of Nyungwe forest and on a luck day spot one or two more primates in the forest as you take a walk on this bridge and later return in the afternoon for dinner and overnight stay at Nyungwe Top View Lodge. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & dinner

Day 3: Transfer to Karongi

After your relaxed morning breakfast, transfer to Lake Kivu at Karongi, where you will just relax and have lunch. In the afternoon, go for a boat ride, and experience a wonderful boat experience on Lake Kivu, get to know more about the lake and its history plus its natural inhabitants. Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Moriah Hills Resort. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & dinner

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes

Have breakfast at your hotel and later meet your guide, share a brief introduction and later transfer to Volcanoes national park where you will spend your night for the next day gorilla trekking. Dinner and accommodation at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge. Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 5: Gorilla trekking

After an early morning breakfast, meet your guide and transfer to Volcanoes national park, where you will have gorilla trekking briefing on rules and regulation, later drive off to the gorilla trekking starting point, and head off for your trek. You will enjoy the wonderful guided hike to the gorilla trekking point before you meet the gorillas, where an hour will be allocated to you with the gorillas and you’re free to share and informative time, with your ranger guide. You will return after the trek and drive to your lodge for lunch. Afternoon, retire at leisure. Dinner and accommodation at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge. Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 6: Golden monkey trekking and return to Kigali

You will head for Golden monkey trekking at Volcanoes National Park. The golden monkey trek is just like gorilla trek, though less strenuous than gorilla. You will have an hour with the golden monkey’s later return for lunch. After lunch head drive to Kigali, time allowing, visit Kigali genocide memorial and local market before transfer to the airport, for your departure flight.
